Palace sign former Hibernian keeper
Crystal Palace have announced their first signing of the summer with 20-year-old Kleton Perntreou joining the development squad at Selhurst Park ahead of their new campaign.
The goalkeeper was released by Scottish side Hibernian at the end of the season after they decided not to renew his contract despite making two appearances for the first team in November, coming on as a substitute at half time in Hibs’ game against Cowdenbeath FC in which they won 2-1 before appearing in the following game against Queen of the South, that ended in a 0-0 draw which saw the 20-year-old pick up his first professional clean sheet.
Perntreou has signed a one-year-deal at the club and will be looking to impress development boss Garry Issott this season as the Eagles look to better their campaign compared to the last where they lost in the League Two Development South Play Off Semi-Final against Huddersfield in extra time at Selhurst Park in May.
