Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie has opened up about rumours linking him to Tottenham Hotspur after The Mirror reported that the Lilywhites will step up their interest.
Spurs have just sold Spanish striker Roberto Soldado to Villarreal, so are now looking to strengthen their attack.
Bolasie, who is reportedly worth £25 million to his current club, scored 4 goals and recorded 6 assists in the Premier League last season. The Congolese international has not rejected the idea of a move away from Selhurst Park:
“I am a loyal guy, but this is a game and a business. Opportunities to play for a top club do not swing by every day. You would have to look into it to see if it suits you and your family.”
The 26-year-old will be approaching his prime and sees now as an ideal time to be moving up the Premier League: “At my age it could be the right time, but it has to be right for the club as well.”
He’d add flare to the Spurs attack, which has lacked some creative spark since the departure of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid – but Palace will be keen to keep hold of their tricky winger.
He is clearly open to the idea of leaving the club should the right offer come in, however he may also want to take Palace’s current rise in Premier League stature into consideration
