Winger to undergo a scan on his hamstring
According to the Croydon Advertiser, Crystal Palace are awaiting the to find out the extent of Bakary Sako’s hamstring problem that he picked up in the game against Sunderland on Monday night.
Following the match, assistant manager Keith Millen was able to confirm that the winger had to come off after struggling with his hamstring, after replacing Jason Puncheon at half time. The Mali international only featured for 20 minutes.
Sako could only limp away from Selhurst Park, and awaits an MRI scan to find out the full extent of his injury. At least, the ex-Wolves star could be facing a month on the sidelines.
Since the start of November, striker Dwight Gayle has been nursing the same type of injury as Sako, whilst former Arsenal striker Marauone Chamakh made a return from his hamstring problems last night. The Morocco international was almost out for three months, so Pardew will be relieved that he has finally started to regain match fitness.
