Crystal Palace have emerged as the latest club to take an interest in highly demanded Chelsea striker Loic Remy as Eagles boss Alan Pardew looks to strengthen his attacking options as he hopes to push his side even further beyond January.
Palace are said to have made contact already with Chelsea over the availability of signing the experienced French forward but are not the only Premier League club interested in him.
A host of other top flight teams such as Southampton, Newcastle and Aston Villa are taking an interest in the striker as goals appear to be a shortage for many Premier League forwards this season.
The reported sum that Palace are offering for Remy is said to be as low as £6million; a fee that Chelsea are almost certain to reject. However, the Eagles are looking to keep a cheap deal in the offing for a striker and are apprehensive over spending too much on an ageing striker.
Palace’s forwards have scored just one goal put together all season, so it is no surprise to see them linked with both Remy and long-term target Charlie Austin this month.
