Alongside fellow Premier League side Sunderland, Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace have been linked with another Serie A striker, which isn’t Juventus’ Simeone Zaza.

The Eagles are willing to submit a £15m bid for Fiorentina’s Senegalese striker, Khouma Babacar, according to Gazzetta. The 22-year-old has also attracted interest from Sam Allerdyce’s Sunderland, as the Viola rejected a proposed £11m bid for elsewhere for their striker.

In just eight Serie A games this season, Babacar has managed to net on four occasions. Because the Italian side seem likely to let go of Giuseppe Rossi this January, it’s not likely that Babacar will depart at the same time. During the last four games, the Senegal star has been benched completely, which means hasn’t been used, in the past four fixtures.

In attack this season, the duo of Premier League clubs expressing their interest in the striker have been lacking in front of goal. Palace, who are sitting in seventh spot, have netted 23 goals in only 20 games, whereas the Black Cats have only won four games all season – hence their position in the league.
