Crystal Palace defender Jack Hunt is reportedly nearing a permanent move to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday after impressing during his loan spell at Hillsborough so far this season.
Hunt, who has failed to really impose himself on the game at Palace, has been a key part of Sheffield Wednesday’s side this season, featuring on 21 occasions for the Owls.
The right-back’s loan is scheduled to run up until the end of the season, but to avoid any potential complications in the transfer and as a result of Hunt’s excellent form at right-back for the club, manager Carlos Carvalhal is looking to tie up the 25-year-old on a full-time basis.
The signing of Hunt has proved to be a bit of a wasted one in hindsight, as two years have passed by Hunt and he has failed to feature for the Eagles in any competition.
It is reported that a deal has already been agreed in place now for Hunt to leave Selhurst Park and join Wednesday permanently in the next couple of days.
