Crystal Palace – along with Aston Villa and West Ham – spoke to Toulouse over the availability of their forward, Wissam Ben Yedder.

The Guardian report how all three Premier League sides spoke to the French Ligue 1 side about bringing Ben Yedder to England.

The 25-year old has been a prolific goalscorer in France for many years now and has already found the net on seven occasions this season in 17 games.

The former-France under-21 international revealed last week though that he would not be leaving Toulouse this window – pledging to help his current side fight against the threat of relegation from the French top division.

The news that the forward will not be leaving this window will be one that will come as annoyance to Palace fans with Marouane Chamakh failing to deliver goals and Patrick Bamford going back to Chelsea.
