Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann thinks that his side have an advantage over Tottenham Hotspur ahead of their FA Cup clash on Sunday.
Tottenham are currently in Italy preparing for their Europa League tie with Fiorentina and will have only 48 hours to focus on the visit of the Eagles.
Meanwhile, Palace haven’t played since February 13th and have spent a whole week in Spain preparing for the clash at White Hart Lane.
Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser, Dann said that although Spurs have a big squad and are able to rotate, he hopes that them having to focus on the Europe League will give his side an advantage.
You’d like to think we’ll have a clearer week to prepare than them. Spurs have got a big squad, so they can change things around, but we’ll be going into the game hopeful we can get through to the next round.
Dann also acknowledged that Palace haven’t been in good form in recent weeks, but says that he and the whole squad are confident of beating any side when they play up to their potential.
Anyone can beat anyone in the FA Cup – and we can beat anyone. Obviously we’re not in a great run at the minute, but there’s no reason why we can’t go there and beat them.
Palace will be boosted by the returns of Yannick Bolasie and Bakary Sako for the short trip to North London on Sunday.
