In this week’s CPFC Podcast, Alfonso Greenbrook reviews the game against Southampton by giving you his Match Review, Player Rankings as well as his ‘Man Of The Match’.

The curtain finally came down on Crystal Palace’s 2015/16 Premier League season with a dismal defeat against Southampton at St Mary’s, but everyone’s attention now turns to the all-important game … Saturday’s FA Cup final.

With that in mind, Alan Pardew made five changes to his line-up, but Sadio Mane scored just before half-time to give Southampton the lead before Graziano Pelle doubled it on 61 minutes.

A fine strike by Jason Puncheon (who played well considering the result and was undoubtedly ‘The Man Of The Match’) soon after got the Eagles back into the game but a controversial Ryan Bertrand penalty and a strike by Steven Davis ensured that the Eagles would finish the league campaign with a defeat and in 15th in the league (depending on Bournemouth’s result against Man United)

The game also saw the Sullay Kaikai make his Premier League debut off the bench, he showed some nice touches in his first few minutes on the pitch but on 60 minutes it looked as though he was going to find an equaliser when he scuffed a volley into the ground which was looking like a brilliant looping ball into the top corner but Forster managed to claw the ball away to safety.
