Barcelona forward Sandro Ramirez has been released by the La Liga club in order to let the 20-year-old develop.

Crystal Palace made an enquiry about the player last year and it’s thought that the South London club will once again be interested in the player that made 24 appearances for the Spanish champions.

The forward has been unable to break into the starting line-up thanks to the brilliant form of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are among the clubs that are thought to be interested in linking up with the player. Whether Palace will win the race is a different matter with Spurs offering European football.

Technical director Robert Fernandez told Barca TV that the player had offers to leave the club last summer.

We evaluated at that time the situation we had as we could not sign players and he made an effort to stay with us. We are very thankful for that.

Barcelona decided not to renew the player’s contract and is now being linked to England for his next destination to play football.
