Two Premier League sides, Crystal Palace and Everton, are interested in signing goalkeeper Tim Krul from Newcastle United, according to a report from James Benson of the Express.
Krul is just one of the numerous players being linked with a move away from St James’ Park after Newcastle’s relegation and it looks like there’s going to be a battle between Alan Pardew and Ronald Koeman to sign him.

Pardew is a big fan of Krul having worked with him in the North East and despite the options he has in terms of goalkeepers, he apparently sees Krul as an upgrade on what he already has. If you were a bookmaker, you’d no doubt have this at fairly short odds.
Koeman, the new man in charge of Goodison, needs to address Everton’s goalkeeper situation after the departure of the long-serving Tim Howard, who left to play in the MLS.
Joel Robles performed pretty well during the second part of the season, but it’s unlikely that he’ll be considered as the club’s number one next year.
