Stoke ready to rival Palace again for Berahino
According to the Croydon Advertiser, Stoke are ready to make another bid for Crystal Palace target Saido Berahino.
The report says that Palace made a bid in excess of £20m for Berahino last week, but it was rejected by West Brom as they look for a larger fee.
It is now thought that Stoke are willing to move in and make another bid, presumably more than the £20m Palace offered. Stoke have already had one bid rejected, as they saw a £17m offer turned down by West Brom earlier this summer.
If Palace are determined to sign Berahino, then they will now need to outbid Stoke with another club-record bid.
Berahino has just one year left on his West Brom contract and is eager to leave the club, after rejecting terms on a new four-year deal at the Hawthorns.
Palace are looking to strengthen in the forward department this summer and Berahino is a major target.
