According to a report from Italian news source Football Italia this evening, Crystal Palace are weighing up a move for Roma midfielder William Vainqueuer.
It comes as no surprise to see Alan Pardew in the market for a new holding midfielder after it was today confirmed that captain and midfield stalwart Mile Jedinak had completed his surprise move to Aston Villa.
Now, though, Pardew is looking to move onto other targets and he has identified Vainqueur as one of the many potential replacements for the Australian international.

Since his arrival at Roma, he’s found places in the first-team hard to come by and due to his opportunities being limited, the Belgian midfielder is set for an exit from the Serie A club this month.
The report claims that The Eagles have already enquired about the availability of the 27-year-old, so a move for Vainqueur could be very much on the cards this summer.
