Palace and Southampton in talks for Lazaar
Palermo defender Achraf Lazaar, who has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham, is in talks with fellow Premier League clubs Southampton and Crystal Palace, according to TuttoMercato.
With just 12 months left on Lazaar’s contract, it is likely that the left-back will leave the club before the transfer window slams shut next Wednesday.
Rumours linking the Morrocco international with a move to the London Stadium emerged before the signing of Arthur Masuaku, but the Hammers were still thought to be in the hunt for the 24-year-old.
However, both Southampton and Crystal Palace have overtaken West Ham in the race to sign Lazaar and are hoping to complete a deal before the next round of Premier League fixtures.
Lazaar must now decide which club he would prefer to join, with La Liga outfit Celta Vigo also in the race for his signature.
The Serie A club are poised to sit down with Lazaar and his representatives on Monday evening to decide what the best solution is for all of the involved parties.
