Crystal Palace are closing in on the loan signing of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, it is understood from various sources including those at Read CPFC.
It has been widely reported that the 24-year-old has been allowed to make a loan move away from the Emirates Stadium in this window, in the hope of reigniting his footballing career.
A number of clubs both in England and Europe are reportedly interested in signing the England international, with solid interest coming from both AS Roma and Juventus.

However it is understood that Wilshere is more favourable for a move to an English club with Palace’s interest in the player, keeping him in London and would see him feature on a more regular basis compared to a move to Europe.
Read CPFC sources understand that Wilshere has met with Eagles manager Alan Pardew this afternoon and have spoken about a move to Selhurst Park, which is looking likely with the deadline falling at 11pm (BST) on Wednesday.
The midfielder only featured on three occasions towards the end of last season for Arsenal after coming back from an injury which he picked up at the beginning of the last campaign. He has featured twice for the Gunners so far this season.
