Sam Allardyce’s reign as Crystal Palace manager has only just begun and it seems like he’s already identified one area of his squad that he will be looking to improve in January.
Pape Souare’s injury has left Palace short in the left-back position and it looks like Allardyce will be keen to bring in some reinforcements when the window opens.
According to a report by Dominic Fifield of The Guardian, Big Sam’s ideal target is Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs but the Gunners are not keen to let the England international leave so he’s turned his attention elsewhere.
The first target on his list is Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor. The left-back is out of contract in the summer and is set to leave the Yorkshire side, with West Brom seemingly interested.
Another target for Allardyce happens to be one of his former players. Sunderland’s Patrick van Aanholt is apparently on his hit-list too, although David Moyes is keen to keep him at the Stadium of Light.
