Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke will ‘categorically’ not be moving to China this month, despite interest in the former Liverpool player, according to Sky sources.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the club, with reports suggesting that new manager Sam Allardyce is looking to cash-in on the player to create transfer funds for his plans in this current window.
The possibility of Benteke leaving the South London side in this window, however, has ‘not’ been ruled out.
Benteke joined the Eagles from Liverpool in the summer for £32million following a mixed season at Anfield – with the striker looking for more playing time, something he has received at Selhurst Park.
Featuring on 20 occasions for Crystal Palace this season in all competitions the striker has scored on eight occasions, all of which have been in the Premier League, scoring twice against Southampton at the start of December.
