Olympiakos agree €15m deal with Palace for Miliovojevic

Crystal Palace have beaten a rival club to a potential signing. Please do not adjust your set. This is not an error.

According to the Independent, Crystal Palace have reached an agreement in the region of £13million with Olympiakos for Serbian midfielder Luka Miliovojevic.

Milivojevic, who joined Olympiakos from Anderlecht in 2015 in a deal worth £2million, has enjoyed a successful spell in Greece attracting interest from several Premier League sides. Hull City, Sunderland and West Ham United all hold an interest in the 25-year-old.

Sam Allardyce is keen on adding to his midfield options this window and had identified Yann M’Vila of Rubin Kazan as his preferred signing. However, after becoming frustrated in his pursuit of M’Vila, Allardyce switched his attentions to Milivojevic and a deal now looks likely.

The only stumbling block facing the Eagles is the percentage of future sell-on fee that Olympiakos would be entitled to – with the Greek outfit holding out for 20 per cent. Palace will hope to iron out the minor details swiftly and wrap up the deal in the coming days.
