Crystal Palace have seen a £12m bid for Ibrahim Amadou rejected by French club Lille as Sam Allardyce is forced to continue his search for a defensive midfielder.
The 23-year-old has also told L’Équipe that he aims to finish the season in France, after a number of rumours throughout the transfer window linking him with a move to England or another club in Europe.
Speaking to the French newspaper, he said: “I will finish the season. And continue the adventure. I have a contract until 2019. I am not hiding either that my dream is to play abroad. We will see what happens in the years to come.”

Contract talks have opened with Lille and Amadou, with the midfielder’s contract expiring in 2019. Sam Allardyce decided to put a bid in for the Cameron international, after seeing a deal for Olympiakos midfielder Luka Milivojevic collapse on Thursday.
Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of full-back Patrick Van Aanholt from Sunderland who is undergoing a medical at the club today.
