Crystal Palace are continuing their search for a defensive midfielder after the collapse of a deal involving Olympiakos midfielder Luka Milivojevic, which has saw them turn their heads to Lille’s Ibrahim Amadou.
The 23-year-old has made 23 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season, with a single goal to his name, which came in the qualification stages of Coupe de France, earlier on this month.
Lille are not looking to sell the defensive midfielder with the club reportedly preparing to offer the Cameroonian a new deal. Amadou turned down a chance to represent Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations.

According to the report, a deal to sign Luka Milivojevic stalled on Thursday, after it previously being reported that Palace had agreed a £13million with the French side.
Sam Allardyce is becoming increasingly frustrated with the amount of deals going the club’s way, with Palace now looking towards their second and third set of targets.
