Crystal Palace are reportedly looking to strengthen their defence this summer with an audacious swoop for Napoli defender Ivan Strinic.
According to an exclusive report from Italian news outlet TMW, the Eagles are keen to bring the Croatian international to Selhurst Park in the summer as Sam Allarydce looks to sort out his side’s defensive worries.
Strinic is nothing more than a backup under Maurizio Sarri at Napoli and has been playing second fiddle to Faouzi Ghoulam.
The 29-year-old is predominantly a left-back, which is a position that has already been strengthened in January through the £14 million addition of Patrick van Aanholt.
The report states that Strinic would be an alternative option to Inter Milan left-back Yuto Nagatomo if they cannot sign him in the summer.
Croatia international Strinic has played just 11 times for Napoli this season, and a move away from the Stadio San Paolo certainly wouldn’t come as a surprise.
