Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has the same ability of Barcelona’s Neymar, according to ex-teammate Yannick Bolasie.
Zaha has been in inspiring form for the Eagles in recent weeks with the ex-Man United flop reportedly attracting interest from some of the league’s top sides.
The 24-year old’s turn in fortunes has seen Sam Allardyce’s side pull six points clear of the bottom three; having languished just a point above the drop upon his appointment.
The Ivorian has managed an impressive feat of six goals and nine assists and his superb form has attracted praise from Everton winger Bolasie.
“He can go as far as he wants. I said the other day that he’s got the same kind of ability as Neymar and people were raising their eyebrows,” Bolasie told ESPN.
But now they’re starting to see it and nobody is saying anything anymore! I’m just kind of laughing to myself and I’m like ‘Well, I said that already’.
“It’s whether people take notice or not. He’s catching the eye now and doing well for himself. At the moment, he’s helping Palace a lot.”
The DR Congo international was Zaha’s teammate for four years, before moving to pastures new in the summer – joining Everton for £25m.
Manager Sam Allardyce admitted that the Ivorian’s good form could attract huge offers from other clubs which could prove to be too good to turn down.
But it was also reported that Crystal Palace were willing to open talks with the winger for a potential new deal which could see his current wage rise from £35,000-a-week.
