It was today confirmed that Chelsea legend John Terry is set to leave the club at the end of the current campaign after enjoying 22 successful years at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues today confirmed that their club captain will seek pastures new when his contract comes to a close at the end of June and this therefore means that the former England skipper will be available to sign on a free transfer.

One club that could very well be considering a move for the 36-year-old when the opportunity arises is Crystal Palace.

It’s almost certain that Terry won’t be short of potential suitors when he does become a free agent, but there’s a good chance that he’ll want to remain in his homeland and could look towards a move to Selhurst Park as the ideal destination for him to continue playing in the twilight stages of his illustrious career under Sam Allardyce.

So, we’ve taken a look at two pros and two cons to potentially signing Terry this summer!
