Crystal Palace are facing something of a dilemma ahead of the summer transfer window when it comes to goalkeepers.
Wayne Hennessey’s future has still not been resolved, Steve Mandanda looks set to move away from the club this summer and despite him recently penning a new one-year deal at the club, Julian Speroni is somewhat below par.
This has prompted speculation surrounding the club’s interest in signing a new goalkeeper, and Tutto Udinese have claimed that Sam Allardyce is targeting Udinese shot stopper Orestis Karnezis this summer.
The report claims that the Eagles are not the only English club keen on bringing the Greek goalkeeper to the Premier League next season, with Watford and Newcastle both touted with interest.
It’s stated that it would cost €10m to bring Karnezis to Palace, which is a somewhat expensive price for a goalkeeper the wrong side of 30.
However, a solution has to be found ahead of next season and Karnezis may very well be a plausible option.
