Crystal Palace tracking Pellegrino as they hunt for new boss
Crystal Palace are in need of a new manager ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, and have reportedly identified Mauricio Pellegrino as a potential option.
According to a report from Football Espana, the Eagles are looking to replace Sam Allardyce, who handed in his resignation on Tuesday, with the young manager after his impressive season at Deportivo Alaves.
However, despite Pellegrino showing his quality at the La Liga side this season, it looks as though he won’t be there in the new campaign as he seeks pastures new this summer.
It’s claimed by the report that fellow Premier League side Watford are keen on appointing Pellegrino this summer as they too look to find a replacement for their departed manager Walter Mazzarri.
The 45-year-old is sure to be a man in demand this summer and it would certainly take some persuading for Palace to lure him to Selhurst Park as they look to build ahead of the coming season.
