With the summer transfer window just around the corner, Crystal Palace will be keen to sort out their managerial appointment out quickly.
Sam Allardyce informed the club that he would no longer wish to continue in his role next season, leaving the club without a manager as they begin their preparations for next season.
Already a whole host of names have been thrown into the hat, but we’ve compiled some of the favourites and looked at who is in contention to take the job.
Roger Schmidt - 25/1
The former Bayer Leverkusen boss has been out of work since being sacked in March.
He was linked with the Watford job recently before the Hornets landed Marco Silva, who was also linked with the Palace job.
Schmidt enjoyed a great spell with Red Bull Salzburg, where he won the Austrian Bundesliga and Austrian Cup.
Schmidt would bring a wealth of Europan experience, which may not be the most beneficial for Palace at the moment.
Chris Coleman - 20/1
After his success with the Wales national team, Coleman has since been linked with a host of jobs since the Euros.
Coleman spent four years at Palace as a player so a return could be on the cards. However, a move for the Welsh boss is always going to be tough for Palace.
With Gareth Bale at his disposal with the Welsh side, it would also take a lot to convince him to leave.
David Moyes - 18/1
The former Manchester United boss left his position with Sunderland following their relegation to the Championship.
It would be a huge risk for Palace to turn to someone like Moyes after his tough stint with Sunderland.
Given the squad he had available to him and the structure of the club at the Stadium of Light, it would be harsh to blame Moyes completely for Sunderland’s demise.
David Wagner - 14/1
Palace may want to keep a close eye on the Championship play-off final on Monday.
If Huddersfield were to lose, there will be plenty of interest in David Wagner, who has exceeded all expectations of him in his first season in the Championship.
With a lack of resources, it would be tough for him to repeat the success of this season with Huddersfield during the next campaign.
Wolfsburg were thought to be keen on him this season, so expect a lot of interest in Jurgen Klopp’s right-hand man this summer.
Roy Hodgson - 14/1
A surprise contender is the former England boss, who has been out of work since stepping down from the Three Lions post following the disappointing Euro 2016 campaign.
Appointing the former Fulham boss would be seen as a backwards step for Palace and unambitious.
Roberto Mancini - 10/1
The former Manchester City boss has been hinting at a return to the Premier League for some time now.
The Italian has been spotted floating around grounds watching games throughout the 2016-17 season.
Mancini has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan in the summer of 2016.
He was linked with the Leicester City job but has since praised the job Claudio Ranieri did there, making it unlikely that he would take the job.
The former City boss would bring some attacking football to Selhurst Park but is likely to be one of the more expensive options for the Palace board.
Claudio Ranieri - 8/1
Coming in at fourth favourite for the Palace job is the former Leicester City boss.
Ranieri has not taken a job since being sacked by Leicester City halfway through the season. He has regularly featured on TV doing punditry work and has hinted he would like to stay in the Premier League.
The former Chelsea boss is being linked with the Leeds job, whilst was also thought to be a target for Watford.
It would be a risky move to appoint Ranieri, a manager who hasn’t had the greatest of careers, Leicester aside, especially with rumours of a squad dispute emerging as he ‘lost the dressing room’ at the King Power.
Slavisa Jokanovic - 6/1
The Fulham boss comes in as the third favourite for the Palace job this summer.
Jokanovic did a brilliant job guiding Fulham to the semi-finals of the play-offs in the Championship this season, where they lost to Reading over two legs.
With no release clause in his current deal at Craven Cottage, it would cost Palace £5 million in compensation.
It would be a risky move for Palace to drop into the Championship, but the Serbian has played some great football with Fulham and would likely to be very interested in making the move up to the Premier League.
Sean Dyche - 2/1
Perhaps a surprise name to be linked with the vacant job is the Sean Dyche.
The Burnley boss received a lot of plaudits for the job he has done at Turf Moor this season, keeping the newly-promoted side in the top flight at relative ease during their first season back.
Many have called for Dyche to be linked with bigger and better positions as a result of the job he has done at Burnley.
With that in mind, Dyche may want to hold out for a bigger job, although he may be tempted by the bigger budget available to him at Palace.
Gary Monk - 2/1
The current favourite for the Palace job is former Leeds and Swansea manager Gary Monk, according to the bookies.
The former Swansea defender did a brilliant job in his first season in charge at Leeds, narrowly missing out on the play-offs after a late capitulation in the tail end of the season, something the Palace board will be wary of.
