The former Dutch international spent six years in charge of Ajax before becoming the manager at Inter Milan in 2016.
However, after just 14 matches De Boer was sacked on 1 November, having been in charge for only 85 days.
It seems like that brief spell in Italy has not put off the powers-that-be at Crystal Palace with De Boer currently in talks to take over after the shock resignation of Sam Allardyce.
Having won our league titles in Holland during his time in charge of Ajax, De Boer clearly has the experience needed to manage at the top level and he has a track record of success. However, the spell in Italy will probably concern a few Palace fans if the Dutchman is appointed.
