Palace reportedly considering Padt
Crystal Palace are reportedly considering a move for Groningen goalkeeper Sergio Padt this summer.
According to a report from the Guardian today, Frank de Boer is stepping up his pursuit to sign a new goalkeeper and has explored the possibility of landing the experienced shot-stopper.
Padt has enjoyed a successful tenure with Groningen and has established himself as one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Eredivisie.
This has led to interest from a host of clubs, and Palace have been named as the latest to have kept tabs on him.
The 27-year-old made 36 league starts for his side last term, so they’ll be keen to keep hold of such a key player.
De Boer has been looking into various options for a new goalkeeper this summer, with the likes of Jasper Cillessen and Jeroen Zoet both having been linked.
Cillessen, however, is keen to remain at Barcelona for the foreseeable future.
