Wilfried Zaha expected to be out for four weeks
Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is expected to be out of action for four weeks after sustaining an injury during Palace’s opening game of the season against Huddersfield Town, Ed Aarons of the Guardian reports.
Zaha was on the receiving end of a number of tackles put in by Huddersfield players as Palace slumped to a 3-0 defeat at home to the Premier League new boys.
The 24-year-old was seen leaving Selhurst Park after the game with his left leg in a protective cast, before posting a picture of the brace on his Instagram account with the caption “God shall protect me”.
It now appears that Zaha could face a whole month on the Crystal Palace sidelines – not the news that Palace manager Frank De Boer would have wanted to hear after his side’s poor performance at the weekend.
Zaha is set to miss some key games for Palace against Liverpool, Swansea, Burnley and Southampton whilst he recovers from injury.
