Leicester City are eyeing up a move for Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend.
According to The Independent, Leicester will go in for Townsend when the January transfer window opens in just under three months time.
The report claims that Leicester are keen to add Townsend to their squad and will test Palace’s resolve during the winter window.
The Independent also claim, though, that Palace will not sell their prized assets in January.
This means that they are not willing to part ways with Townsend in January – especially to a Premier League rival.
Palace are currently rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and have failed to score a goal after seven games – a league record.
Boss Roy Hodgson wants to add another winger and forward to his squad in the next transfer window, to bolster his attacking options.
The club currently has no fit senior strikers, with Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham injured.
