Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is reportedly poised to look specifically to recruit players with Premier League experience in January.
The Eagles found business difficult in the summer transfer window, and this has proved to be damaging given their poor start to the season, in which they have failed to even score a goal or pick up a point.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the experienced Palace boss wants to look into signing players with more pedigree in order to spearhead an unlikely survival mission.
Hodgson has only been at Palace for around a month following Frank de Boer’s dismissal, and has been tasked with a hugely challenging target in turning the club’s season around.
It’s stated in the report that Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere is on Hodgson’s radar, with the England international keen to resurrect his career in the hope of securing a World Cup call-up next summer.
Wilshere has made two appearances this season.
