Palace need ruthless edge says Zaha
Crystal Palace need to be more ruthless if they want to start picking up results, is the view of keyman Wilfried Zaha.
As reported by the Mail Online, Zaha has urged his Palace team-mates to finish off games as they bid to avoid relegation.
You can’t play that well and not finish teams off. It feels like a game lost to me to be honest, but we will take a point. We shouldn’t give the referee that opportunity to give them a penalty to be honest, it was definitely soft but we just have to carry on.
Roy Hodgson’s men had the dream start at home on Saturday. Following a brilliant run from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, James McArthur was on hand to poke the ball from close range, giving Palace the lead inside the first minute.
Just five minutes later Everton were on level terms when Oumar Niasse was brought down inside the box by Scott Dann, allowing Leighton Baines to equalise from the spot.
It was Zaha himself who put Palace back in front but the Eagles could not keep Everton at bay.
Niasse was at the heart of the action again as he pulled the score back to 2-2.
Off the back of the result, Palace remain bottom of the table but are now only five points behind West Brom in 17th.
