Palace join the race to sign Harry Arter
Crystal Palace have joined West Ham in the race to sign Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter.
The Mirror reports that Roy Hodgson wants to add to his midfield and has set his sights on the Irishman.
Both West Ham and Palace are said to be waiting to test the player’s commitment to Bournemouth, despite the 27-year-old signing a new long-term contract in June.
Arter has been a mainstay in the Bournemouth midfield during their journey up the football pyramid.
The 27-year-old has started seven times this season as the Cherries begin to find their feet after a difficult start to the campaign.
With West Ham and Palace both occupying two of the three relegation spots, it’s unlikely that Eddie Howe will be keen on the idea of selling to a direct rival.
The midfielder joined the club from Woking for just £4,000 in 2010 and he has gone on to establish himself as a Premier League midfielder.
