Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing a loan move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings.
According to a report from Darren Lewis of the Mirror, the Eagles could cut Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s loan at the club short in order to make room for Ings in January.
Premier League regulations state that you are only able to have two players on loan from Premier League clubs in your squad, which would mean that either Fosu-Mensah or Ruben Loftus-Cheek would need to be moved back to their parent clubs should a loan deal for Ings materialise.
The ex-Burnley striker has been desperately unfortunate in the last couple of years. Ings has suffered several setbacks in his bid to recover from a long-term knee injury but appears to have regained his fitness.
Palace are short of striking options, with Christian Benteke their only natural, available forward, so the links to Ings are hardly surprising.
Liverpool are understood to be open to loaning out the striker.
