Charlton boss Karl Robinson has squashed rumours that he is interested in signing Crystal Palace youngster Jason Lokilo, according to a report from Kent Live.
Lokilo, 19, already has a senior Palace appearance under his belt after completing the full 90 minutes in Palace’s EFL Cup win over Ipswich in August, but is still awaiting his first appearance in the Premier League.
Robinson has admitted that he is looking to bolster his attacking options in the January window, however, denied that he has spoken to the Palace winger about taking him on loan for the remainder of the season.
I don’t even know him, his agent’s doing a good job isn’t he? When he’s talking to a manager who has never heard his name. Honestly I’ve never heard of him.
Lokilo, who was born in Belgium, is believed to be thought of very highly within the Palace academy setup, and may be allowed to head out on loan to get regular first team football lower down the leagues, however, it looks like he won’t be heading to the Addicks to link up with Robinson.
