Crystal Palace target Khouma Babacar is set to decide on his future soon as the forward looks to find regular football, according to a report on the Croydon Advertiser.
The striker, who currently plays for Italian Serie A side Fiorentina, is seen as more as an impact substitute for the club but he wants to establish himself as a starter.
Palace, who have found it difficult to score freely this season, are looking to recruit a forward to help Christian Benteke in attack as the Belgian struggles to find goalscoring form for the Eagles.
The 24-year-old centre-forward has managed to find the back of the net 36 times in 141 appearances for the Italian club.
Palace boss Roy Hodgson is hoping to lure Babacar away from the Serie A by promising him first team action and the striker is currently deciding on what to do.
The Eagles are also strongly linked with West Ham United forward Diafra Sakho and should both deals go through, then they should be confident of firing themselves away from the relegation battle.
Palace have only scored 20 times so far in the Premier League this season and Hodgson is confident that Babacar can help to increase that statistic.
