Premier League side Crystal Palace are eager to sign goalkeeper Frederik Rønnow this month after failing to secure his services last summer, according to a report on Sport Witness.

The highly-rated Danish shot-stopper currently plays for Brondby but the club could be forced to sell him due to financial reasons, which has given Palace hope of securing his signature.

Palace made a deadline day move for the goalkeeper last summer but failed to agree a deal with Brondby and the Eagles are ready to make another move to bring the keeper to the English top flight.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson has Julian Speroni and Wayne Hennessey as his first-team goalkeepers this season but feels that Ronnow will give them good competition for a first-team spot.

25-year-old Ronnow’s current deal with Brondby expires in the summer of 2019 and the club are expected to cash in on the keeper whilst interest in him remains high.

Championship club Nottingham Forest were also linked with a move for him last summer but they are not expected to pursue him once again this month.

If Palace offer the right transfer fee, then Brondby will be open to letting their star goalkeeper leave the club.
