Crystal palace forward Alexander Sorloth is due to receive a scan this week, as part of yet another injury issue for the young striker.
Confirmed by manager Roy Hodgson following the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday, the relegation-threatened boss must be frustrated with the continual ailments that have limited the 22-year-old to just four Premier League appearances since signing in January.

Arriving from FC Midtjylland, a hamstring problem has kept the talented Sorloth out of Palace’s last two league matches, and despite hopes of a recovery, Hodgson conceded that all was far from plain-sailing:
He was making some progress, but he has felt his hamstring again and we don’t quite know how bad that is,
It might be one of those little things that happens when you are recovering, but we will need to check it on Tuesday to be sure.
The loss at the weekend conspired to leave Palace in 17th position, just north of the relegation zone.

The game against Liverpool also saw several good chances spurned by Christian Benteke, and a chance for Sorloth to stake a claim to a spot in the starting XI appears to be passing by.
With Connor Wickham himself dealing with a serious injury, Palace fans will be hoping the Belgian can locate his shooting boots very quickly – or Championship football will welcome Crystal Palace for next season.
