Crystal Palace are interested in signing Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City this summer, according to reports.
The Eagles are named as one of many Premier League clubs to have expressed an interest in landing Shaqiri, whose Stoke side are looking set for relegation this season.
Switzerland international Shaqiri is understood to be set for a summer exit away from the Bet365 Stadium and it seems Palace may look to capitalise on this opportunity in the summer.
Shaqiri has been Stoke’s standout performer in what has been a difficult season for the club. He has chipped in with some impressive goals and has been the team’s brightest attacking spark.
The ex-Bayern Munich and Inter Milan winger is contracted to the Potters until 2020 but should they succumb to relegation down to the Championship, it’s not likely that they will retain his services.
However, Palace may face competition for Shaqiri’s signature. Southampton have been previously linked, whilst recent reports claim Everton and West Ham are also keen.
