Crystal Palace’s Jason Puncheon has returned to the training pitch for the first time since he picked up a serious knee injury on New Year’s Eve.
90Min are reporting that the Palace skipper has been out running on the pitches at the club’s Beckenham training ground.
Puncheon sustained the injury in the 0-0 draw against City in a tackle with Kevin De Bruyne – the Belgian also suffered an injury and was stretchered off.

With only five games of the Premier League season remaining, however, we won’t see Puncheon pull on an Eagles shirt before the end of the season.
The 31-year-old moved to Selhurst Park on a permanent basis in 2014 following a loan spell, and has scored 15 goals in 128 Premier League appearances for the London club.
Puncheon wrote in Saturday’s match-day programme:
I am pleased to report that this week I have been able to get out on the training pitch and do some running.
Without putting pressure on myself, I am hoping that in two to four weeks I will be in a position to go out and train with the rest of the squad.
