Crystal Palace could make fresh Dendoncker move
Crystal Palace are reportedly prepared to go toe to toe with West Ham in their bid to sign Leander Dendoncker from RSC Anderlecht in the summer.
According to claims from Belgium, as cited by Calciomercato, the midfielder was initially likely to secure a move to Atletico Madrid after a preliminary agreement was reached between the two clubs.
However, it seems this option has ‘expired’, meaning that Dendoncker could well be up for grabs ahead of the summer transfer window.
It’s stated in the report that West Ham and Crystal Palace are both now considering making fresh bids after failing to land the young midfielder in January.
Dendoncker has been wanted by the Eagles for some time now and they saw their offer for him knocked back by Anderlecht in the January transfer window.
The Belgian international is capable of playing in central midfield but has also proven to be a competent centre-back when called upon.
Dendoncker was keen to secure a move to the Premier League when Palace and the Hammers came calling in January and Roy Hodgson will seemingly be hopeful that he remains keen to arrive in England this summer.
