Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has lavished praise on Wilfried Zaha.
The Eagles secured their Premier League safety recently and much of this was down to Zaha and his talismanic performances for the team.
It has been a difficult campaign for Crystal Palace and one in which Zaha’s importance has only been reinforced. The Ivorian international is the club’s leading goalscorer this season and has been instrumental in Hodgson’s side.
Zaha was recently crowned as Crystal Palace’s Player of the Year, as voted by the fans, meaning that the forward scooped the award for the third successive year.

Speaking to Palace’s official club website, as cited in a report from Goal, Hodgson was quick to commend Zaha for his efforts in helping the club avoid the drop down to the Championship this term.
He’s shown how special he is for a long time now. This year, when we really needed players to step up to the plate and get us out of the situation we found ourselves in, and we’ve pulled off a great escape.
Wilf has done exceptionally well and I fully understand why the fans have voted for him as the Player of the Year.
Palace face West Brom at Selhurst Park in their final Premier League game of the season this weekend and will be hoping to pip Newcastle United to a top-half finish.
