Crystal Palace keen on signing Ferland Mendy
Crystal Palace are keen on signing Lyon left-back Ferland Mendy, according to reports in France.
Whilst Patrick van Aanholt has been a revelation for Palace in recent weeks, the club are keen to bring in a back-up option so the Dutchman doesn’t get burned out and with Pape Souare still on his way back from the serious injuries he suffered in a traffic accident, Mendy is seemingly on the radar of Roy Hodgson.
The 22-year-old, who only joined Lyon in June 2017, has played over 30 games for the French side this season and has impressed many obsevers.
The Ligue 1 side only paid around €5million when they signed him from Le Harve, and they could be tempted to cash in and make a profit if Palace come calling with a substantial offer.
Palace are looking to build a squad good enough to keep them away from any type of relegation battle next season and it appears that Mendy is one of the men they’d like to bring in.
