# Pardew up for manager award

**Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is one of four managers up for the [Premier League Manager of the Month award](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/9985007/crystal-palace-boss-alan-pardew-in-running-for-august-award).**

The Eagles have been in fine fettle so far this season, winning three of their opening four games, not forgetting their memorable 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea lost only their second home game under Mourinho.

Pardew is in good company as Manchester City boss Pellegrini, Swansea’s Garry Monk and Leicester’s Claudio Ranieri are also up for the award.

Manchester City currently have a 100% record in the League so far this season scoring 10 goals and are also yet to concede so far.

Swansea have also had a good start to the season, including beating Manchester United, and have played some great football. Their striker Bafetimbi Gomis has also been nominated for the Player of the Month award.

Leicester City have also started the season in solid fashion with some very good team performances – including blowing Sunderland away on the opening weekend of the season. Like Swansea, Leicester also have a player up for Player of the Month award, as Mahrez is also in the running for the prize.

It’s a sign that Crystal Palace have bought well this window, and their decent start, coupled with this nomination, is a testament to that.

**Will he go the whole way and win it?**
