# Pardew: Our returning star will make Tottenham nervous

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew says that returning star Yannick Bolasie will make opposition teams play differently against his side.

The Congolese winger has been out of action since late December with a calf injury but is back fit for the weekend’s FA Cup tie at White Hart Lane and Pardew believes that his potential pace on the counter attack will force teams to be a bit more cautious.

He told the [Surrey Mirror](https://www.surreymirror.co.uk/Crystal-Palace-boss-play-star-man-Tottenham-fully/story-28751237-detail/story.html):

> What you can’t underestimate about Yannick is the fear factor he takes into games for the opposition. I feel teams have been braver against us without him in our team, and I understand that. But they can start getting nervous again with his return.

Pardew did not reveal if he’d start Bolasie in the tie and said the same about Bakary Sako as the last thing he wants is for either of the duo to re-injure themselves by doing too much, too soon.

> We have been cautious with him in the last two weeks, so this week we have protected him and we’re not going to rush him back. That’s the same with Bakary, so they won’t be involved at Tottenham unless they’re 100 per cent fit, I can assure you that.

Palace have spent the week in Spain preparing for Sunday’s game, whilst Tottenham have not been afforded such a luxury as their Europa League commitments meant they had to travel to Italy for a tricky tie with Fiorentina.
