# Palace join Swansea and West Ham in race for defender

Crystal Palace, Swansea City, West Ham United and Serie A side Lazio are all interested in signing Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecuele Manga, according to an interview with his agent conducted by Tom Coast of [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/exclusive-swansea-crystal-palace-and-west-ham-all-after-cardiff-d) .

The Gabonese international is out of contract after the 2016/17 season so Cardiff could look to cash in on him this summer rather than risk losing him for free in twelve months time.

They paid around £5million to sign him from FC Lorient two years ago so would want to get some of that outlay back if they do lose the player.

The 27-year-old centre-back has played 24 Championship games for the Bluebirds this season so they’ll be keen to keep hold of him, however, when asked about his client’s future, Manga’s agent, Yvan Le Mee, said:

> Bruno Ecuele Manga should be transferred this summer. His Cardiff contract ends on the 30th of June 2017, and Swansea, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Lazio are all very interested.

It remains to be seen if these clubs are actually interested in the defender of it this is just a move to try and get him a new deal with Cardiff.
