# Burnley target Palace winger upon Premier League return

Burnley are hoping to secure the signing of Crystal Palace winger, Lee Chung-Yong, according to the [Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jul/14/bolton-hoping-to-sign-lee-chung-yong-from-crystal-palace?CMP=share_btn_tw).

The winger, who joined from Bolton for just £700,000 back in January 2015, has never fully broken into the Palace team and could be tempted by the move if it offers regular Premier League football.

The former Bolton man was always likely to find himself on his way out of Selhurst Park after a [public](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/apr/29/alan-pardew-accused-making-absurd-decisions-lee-chung-yong-crystal-palace) spat with manager Alan Pardew. The Eagles fined Lee after he told Korean media that the manager made absurd decisions.

It is likely that any deal would set Burnley, who are yet to make any signings since their return to the Premier League, back around £1million.

A deal may be complicated by the fact that the player is currently in the States with the rest of the Palace squad for pre-season training. He was part of a squad that drew 0-0 with Philadelphia Union on Wednesday.
