# Palace see loan bid for Ashley Young turned down

Crystal Palace have had a loan bid rejected by Manchester United for Ashley Young, according to [the Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/700072/Manchester-United-reject-Crystal-Palace-bid-Yannick-Bolasie-replacement-News-Gossip).

The report says that United have turned down Palace’s attempt to take Young on loan, with the Manchester club only looking for a permanent deal.

Palace were keen to take the England international on loan, but will now need to consider whether he is worth bringing on a permanent deal. Although, it is unknown exactly how much Manchester United are looking for in terms of a transfer fee for the winger.

Alan Pardew is in the market for a winger to replace Yannick Bolasie, who completed a medical this morning ahead of his proposed move to Everton. The Congo winger is set for a £25m move to the Toffees, leaving Pardew with a gap to fill.

Young is high on his list of targets, but Palace are going to have to go back in with a revised bid if they are to secure his services.
