# Crystal Palace to make permanent bid for Ashley Young

Crystal Palace have had a loan bid rejected by [Manchester United](https://readmanutd.com/) for Ashley Young, according to [the Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/aug/14/yannick-bolasie-medical-everton-25m-move-crystal-palace).

The report says that United have turned down Palace’s attempt to take Young on loan, with the Manchester club only looking for a permanent deal.

Palace were keen to take the England international on loan, but will now need to consider whether he is worth bringing on a permanent deal. Although, it is unknown exactly how much [Manchester United](https://readmanutd.com/) are looking for in terms of a transfer fee for the winger.

Having sold Yannick Bolasie to Everton earlier this month, Alan Pardew is eager to sign a replacement for the winger and wants to bring in Ashley Young to do just that.

Whether Young would be open to a move remains to be seen but after being informed by Jose Mourinho that he doesn’t have a future at the club, the 31-year-old may be forced to consider his future.
