# Loic Remy moves closer to first-team return

Crystal Palace striker Loic Remy has posted on social media this week stating that he will be “stronger than ever” when he returns to action later in the season.

After signing a season-long loan deal from Chelsea towards the end of the transfer window, the Frenchman sustained a thigh injury in training which is expected to keep him out until December, a real blow to Crystal Palace and Alan Pardew.

The 29-year-old [posted a video on Instagram stating](https://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/chelsea-star-updates-crystal-palace-fans-as-he-moves-closer-to-return-from-injury/story-29786719-detail/story.html?): “Can’t wait to be back stronger than ever. Work in progress.”

Due to the strong form of £32m record signing Christian Benteke since his arrival from Liverpool, with three goals in his last four Premier League appearances, the absence of Remy hasn’t been as devastating as first feared.

When Palace are ready to welcome the former QPR and Newcastle man to the field again, he should offer them a different threat up front, possessing more pace than the Belgian and can make threatening runs in behind.
